hi. this is a public XMPP and e-mail host. there's no company behind it, no investors to keep happy.
you will never be asked for a phone number, a real name, or a "recovery email" here. communication shouldn't require handing your identity to a database that gets sold, subpoenaed, or breached. that's the whole reason this exists.
most free services are free because you're the product. xmpp.lol is free because i have absolutely no intention of building something worth paying for.

can i trust you
honestly? no, and you shouldn't fully trust any host. i don't read or scan your messages, but i couldevery provider can, because mail and chat arrive in plaintext before anything touches disk. anyone who tells you their server "can't read your email" is selling something. the honest version is: i choose not to, i log as little as possible, and i've published a warrant canary so you can watch for the day that changes.
if you actually need secrecy, don't outsource it to me. use OMEMO or OpenPGP on XMPP, and GPG with your mail correspondents, so your content is already encrypted before it lands here. pull your mail down and delete it from the server regularly that alone gets you most of the way there.

admin@xmpp.lol. anyone else claiming to be staff is lying, and if you believe them then you deserve whatever happens to you.

getting started
- make an account at register.xmpp.lol. no phone, no name.
- point any XMPP client (Conversations, Gajim, Monal) or mail client at the servers above.
- write your password down somewhere real. there are no password resets. i can't recover it, and i won't pretend i can.
